The environment

The Refugi de la Feixa is located in a privileged environment, which enjoys special protection. The shelter is to be found within the Pla d'Espais d'Interès Natural (Natural Interest Spaces Plan) la Tossa Plana de Lles - Puigpedrós.

This area of special natural interest is home to a very diverse and remarkable fauna and flora, both being particularly fragile. Those responsible for the protection of the natural area suggest a discovery of the many corners where certain species are in danger of extinction and protection, as well as the disclosure of how to preserve them.

The most emblematic places are, on the one hand, the Mal and Malniu lakes and, on the other hand, the Puigpedrós and Puig Farinós mountains.
